Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality at the Europeia University of Lisbon, Portugal. He is also a research fellow in the Center for Advanced Studies in Management and Economics (CEFAGE), Portugal. He holds a European Ph.D. (Doctor Europaeus) in Business from the University of Cagliari, Italy. The title of his Ph.D. thesis was “Residents’ apathy and its Influence on Tourism Development”. His research interests include mainly hospitality and tourism management, and particularly Destination Marketing, Destination Image, Digital Content Analysis, Intercultural Management, Luxury Tourism and Residents Apathy. He has published papers in several tourism and hospitality journals such as Journal of Destination Marketing and Management, Tourism Analysis, Anatolia, European Journal of Tourism Research and book chapters in Bridging Tourism Theory and Practice book series published by Emerald. He has also several presented papers in the proceedings of many international conferences. He has also been active as a reviewer for several Journals such as European Journal of Tourism Research, Anatolia, and Journal of Travel Research.
