Universidade Europeia increasingly present in the area of health with the signing of protocols, partnerships and presence at national events

26 sep 2023

The signing of protocols and partnerships is one of the key points in the positioning of Universidade Europeia’s Faculty of Health Sciences in the area.

The Cooperation Protocol with the Santarém District Hospital (HDS) aims to give students from the European University's FCS access to professional and academic training in a specialized hospital and/or internship environment, thus ensuring an interconnection between clinical practice and teaching, training and research activities.

With the same objective, the Universidade Europeia has also established a Cooperation Protocol with the Hospital de Cascais, Dr. José de Almeida. The development of teaching, training and research activities in the field of health sciences and technologies must incorporate a high-quality practical component in centers, services and units that are recognized as qualified.

More recently, APN - Associação Portuguesa de Nutrição joined forces with the Universidade Europeia in a strategic partnership. According to the memorandum, APN undertakes to provide institutional support and scientific sponsorship for the Advanced Program in Sports and Exercise Nutrition and the 100% Online Postgraduate Degree in Clinical Nutrition, both offered by the Faculty of Health Sciences.

In addition to partnerships and protocols, the Universidade Europeia is present at important events in the health field.

Hélia Gonçalves Pereira, rector of the European University, Lourdes Martín, director of the Universidade Europeia's Faculty of Health Sciences, and several coordinators and professors from the FCS attended the Global Health Forum 2023, an event held by Forum Saúde XXI in September. This forum is one of the largest health events in Portugal, bringing together hundreds of renowned national and international experts every year to discuss the future of health and the main challenges facing health professionals and governments around the world

The Universidade Europeia is planning to create a number of courses in the health sciences - subject to assessment and accreditation by the Higher Education Assessment and Accreditation Agency (A3ES) - such as Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Nutrition, Dentistry, Biomedicine, Physiotherapy and Psychology.
